Process

All my digital drawings are done on an iPad with an Apple Pencil for maximum detail. The software I use is Procreate, I have been using it for years as it is easy to use and it allows you to create anything you have in mind.

The first and hardest stage is always making the sketch of the idea you want to develop and it usually takes me up to an hour to finally get a rough idea down of what I want to achieve. Most of my artworks take hours to finish as I want the most detailed piece that I can get at the end.

Most of my digital artworks are portraits as I want to get really good at them so that they are highly detailed, but I do occasionally try to develop other things so that I can experiment with the software bit more as there is a variety of tools and features that help to manipulate your artwork on Procreate; like the mandala above which uses the feature symmetry and splits the screen in to how ever many parts you choose to help you achieve a symmetrical and neat artwork.
